Ben enters his first year not only with the Colts but in professional baseball. He will act as the Colts Director of Group Sales in 2010. Ben is a graduate of NorthWood High School in his hometown of Nappanee, Indiana, and is currently in his second year of studies at Indiana Tech, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management.
Within the past 4 years Ben has received numerous local, regional, state, and even national awards for his achievements in business through Business Professionals of America. Including finishing fourth place nationally in the Entrepreneurship competition during the BPA National Leadership Conference in New York City.
Ben has also worked with the Sports Promotions Department at the University of Notre Dame where he primarily worked with the baseball and softball teams.
Ben grew up playing baseball; he played catcher from day one of t-ball through his sophomore year of high school where he then focused on tennis. He is still an avid tennis player and before coming to San Angelo he served as the Assistant Tennis Coach at Northridge High School in Middlebury, Indiana. Ben has also spent many summers umpiring little league baseball in Nappanee along with serving as the PA Announcer.
Ben is a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and loves to spend time out at Wrigley Field. His favorite baseball movies are The Sandlot, Bad News Bears, and Rookie of the Year.
